This City firm is keen to have a standalone employment practice, and is interested in an experienced partner who would like to take the lead in shaping this practice. The firm currently undertakes an element of employment work, acting for organisations/employers and senior executives, but does not have dedicated employment lawyers. The firm has therefore identified a strategic need to have an employment specialist to lead a standalone practice and to build a team around them. There is a good level of work to be harnessed, with a strong culture of cross-selling within this firm, where partners are well versed in working together and integrating clients. A track record of business generation and the ability to demonstrate long term client relationships is also required, as the successful partner will be expected to build, generate and grow a successful employment practice. As a firm, this is a full service firm which has a particular strength in areas including real estate, owner managed corporates, high net worth entrepreneurial clients as well as a busy litigation practice. The firm are envisaging an employment partner with a predominance in advisory and contentious experience, who would like a stable, happy and reputable London firm to join. A team hire would also be desirable.
