Kenyan children dreaming simply of a chance to go to school, continue their education and to escape an endless world of poverty

The events of the past few months have tested us in many different ways. Many of us have been struggling with balancing the home schooling of our children with work, with some children not getting back into the classroom until September. Yet many Kenyan children are dreaming simply of a chance to go to school, continue their education and to escape an endless world of poverty.

We received this amazing letter yesterday from Bonventure, one of the Kenyan children we sponsor throughout their four years of secondary education, via the amazing Neil Kirby and The Red Rubber Ball Foundation. It was the extra motivation the team needed.

Bonventure writes beautifully and with such inspirational words. It touched all of our hearts, but one sentence especially stood out:

“Due to your support, I joined secondary school which was a dream come true….I have nothing to give you as a sign of gratitude but I say thank you for your humanity.”

'A dream come true'. This just puts everything into perspective. The RedLaw team couldn’t be more proud to be involved in this scheme and help change this child’s life forever.
