I work with senior lawyers, advising on partnership and team moves within private practice at UK and US firms. I’m a Director of RedLaw, originally beginning my career as a lawyer. I spent several years at Bird & Bird, training there to becoming a mid-level associate. I later moved as part of a team to set up a successful boutique firm, before becoming a Senior Associate at Allen & Overy. In 2009, I founded RedLaw with Jonathan Benjamin. I work with senior lawyers (from senior equity partners to lawyers seeking their first partnership appointment) who are looking for a partnership move and I have had extensive experience working with lawyers on both individual moves and also on larger team moves and law firm mergers. I work with a broad spectrum of law firms predominantly in London and have placed lawyers across the commercial law spectrum: corporate, finance, real estate, energy, technology and IP, competition, tax, employment, to name a few. I was delighted to have won the 'Best Permanent Consultant' category at the Global Recruiter Awards 2022.

I trained and qualified as a real estate lawyer at DLA Piper and spent 3 years in practice before switching to legal recruitment in 2003, when I joined a large international recruitment agency. I quickly became head of the London private practice division and then a director responsible for UK and Ireland. In 2009, I founded RedLaw together with Amy Hambleton with the intention of creating a quality legal recruitment boutique. Since creation we have been privileged to win a number of industry awards. My focus is recruiting partners and teams for a range of UK and US City firms splitting my time between the UK and New York. I have a straightforward, pro-active approach honed by many years working with partners and teams. My focus is giving the right considered careers advice so if a partner makes a move it is to the right firm for the right role I like to go the gym and spend time with my three teenage children and wife. I am also a keen supporter of a variety of charities and am currently on a number of charity committees.

Jason is a Principal Consultant at RedLaw specialising in partner search and team moves in the London market. He embarked on a career in legal recruitment in 2008 having first qualified as a solicitor with CMS. He has placed partners and teams into a wide range of law firms and across a variety of practice areas, predominantly in London but also internationally. Before joining RedLaw, Jason commenced his legal recruitment career at another global legal search firm before becoming a director of a niche London partner search and merger practice, which he co-owned for over a decade.

I am a Senior Resourcer for RedLaw's partner recruitment team specialising in facilitating law firm partner placements across Magic Circle, regional, and boutique law firms. With over 15 years of global recruitment experience, I also have significant expertise in the in-house legal sector, partnering with a diverse range of international companies across various industries in mainland Europe. I originally trained as a Dutch In-House lawyer, before moving into legal recruitment. I am a native Dutch speaker and am fluent in English and am currently refreshing my French language skills. In my free time - when not ‘running’ after my three children - I like to go running along the Thames on a Saturday morning and treating myself for a coffee and cinnamon bun at The Elder Press Cafe afterwards. I also enjoy cycling with my kids in Richmond Park or visiting art galleries, antique markets and exhibitions.

As a Principal Consultant on the Partner team at RedLaw, I specialise in working with partners at all levels for US and UK firms, as well as undertaking team moves. I originally trained and qualified as a lawyer before changing my career to become a legal recruiter. Having gained a few years of experience at a London boutique agency, where I headed a team, I joined a large international recruitment agency to establish its UAE office. My focus was recruiting partners, teams and senior associates, as well as offering market intelligence to firms including to those who often were establishing their first UAE office. I like to go the gym and hit the occasional tennis ball as well as spending time with my daughter. I am also a keen supporter of Momentum Children’s Charity.
