Louise uses one of her Volunteer days to help Momentum Children's Charity raise over £12,000

Recruitment is often seen as a sector just striving for sales, but at RedLaw we have created a business which cares about social enterprise and giving back to communities near and far. Supporting charities is extremely important to us. But as well as the projects we support as a business, we know that our employees may often have a very special place in their hearts for certain charities linked to their own values, families or indeed their own personal experiences. That’s why we are proud to include in our offerings 4 ‘Volunteer Days’ in addition to annual leave for every RedLaw employee - 4 days dedicated to giving back in whatever way they would like to help make a difference within their community.

Louise Wall, Senior Consultant on our Partner team (pictured far right), spent one of her volunteer days recently assisting at Momentum Children’s Charity Golf Day annual fundraiser. Louise became involved with this fabulous charity when her daughter, then 4, was diagnosed with cancer and has continued to raise much needed funds for this crucial charity ever since they met. She presented a personal and touching talk about her experience and involvement with the charity over the years and the immense support and love Momentum provided to her and her family throughout her daughter’s treatment and beyond.

Momentum Children’s Charity helps families of seriously ill children to keep moving forward. Working across South West London, Surrey and Sussex, they partner with local hospitals to provide tailored support to families, both in hospital and at home, following a child’s diagnosis of cancer or a life-challenging condition.

The Golf Day has taken place nearly every year since 2005. It is held at the beautiful Richmond Golf Club, which is also home to the Stage Golfing Society. This is the oldest Golfing Society in Britain and its membership comprises many famous names from the entertainment industry, and with Louise’s help, they raised an enormous £12,000.
