RedLaw is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Head of Compliance, a senior role leading the Business Acceptance function and helping shape the firm’s strategic compliance framework.
Based in London, this senior role has an international remit, working closely with teams across all offices and partnering with firm leadership on strategic and ad-hoc compliance initiatives.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work closely with the Head of Legal & Regulatory Risk, MLRO, MLCO, COLP and COFA, and will sit on the Firm’s Risk Committee, advising partners and stakeholders on complex compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a large, multi-level Business Acceptance team
- Act as an escalation point for complex conflicts, AML and sanctions matters
- Oversee and enhance firm-wide AML policies, controls and risk assessments
- Partner with senior stakeholders on compliance strategy and cross-firm projects
- Support audits, training, and regulatory best practice across jurisdictions
About You
- Extensive experience in Business Acceptance at a senior or leadership level
- Strong knowledge of UK AML legislation and SRA Standards & Regulations
- Experience within an international law firm or professional services environment
- Commercial, pragmatic and confident advising senior stakeholders
- Comfortable influencing, presenting, and leading change at partner level
