Legal Administrator – Real Estate Department | London | Permanent
We are working with a prestigious London law firm who are seeking a Legal Administrator to join their Real Estate department on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative support to property partners and fee earners, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the continued enhancement of working practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who takes pride in delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Use the Land Registry Portal to obtain official copy documents, priority searches, and SIMs
Requisition property searches through search agents, ensuring correct mapping
Obtain copy planning consents and other relevant documents from local authorities
Draft Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns and Land Registry applications, submitting them after fee earner review
Prepare deeds schedules for internal storage and external delivery, retrieving deeds from off-site storage
Assist secretaries with file opening, including client/matter forms, conflict searches, and first draft client care letters
Issue invoices promptly and save to File Site
Candidate Requirements
LLB graduate with prior experience in real estate within a professional services environment
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with a positive work ethic
Proactive approach to improving working practices and supporting fee earners
