Sector Focus: Real Estate Market
It's been some time since the Real Estate market has been as active as it is now and this is presenting some excellent opportunities to lawyers
The legal real estate market is booming at present, with a range of firms recruiting across all levels. This is in stark contrast with the past few years and seems to be driven by the continued private equity investment, a strong currency and a marked improvement in certainty (following a 24 month period that has included a global pandemic, a general election and huge uncertainty due to Brexit).
At RedLaw Recruitment we have a client base that spans the US through to London boutique law firms and this has positioned us well to understand the market in this area. We are seeing demand from all areas of the legal real estate market and many of the top tier City firms are welcoming applications from regional candidates who have been able to demonstrate higher levels of client contact and responsibility. Many mid-City firms have made impressive Partner hires over the past 18 months and this had led to firms offering a unique balance of exceptionally high quality work within a more sensible hours culture (many with target hours between 1350-1450). We are also seeing more traditional commercial property roles within US firms as those teams continue to develop and grow.
It's been quite some time since the Real Estate market has been as active as it is now and this is presenting some excellent opportunities to lawyers in this practice area – from NQ through to Legal Director. We are working on a range of Commercial Property roles, many of which offer a client management focus alongside excellent progression opportunities. If you’re thinking of your next move or want to understand more about the market (or salary ranges) at your level please do get in touch with Ria Karnik at RedLaw Recruitment for further details.
