Would you like to lead a growing commercial contracts team in a top 100 City law firm? The firm is investing in the development of its commercial contracts/technology team with a senior hire who would like to build this practice further.

The firm already has established practices in supporting areas, ranging from corporate, IP, regulatory and data protection litigation and is seeking a senior lawyer who enjoys working on a range of commercial contracts work for a wide range of clients – often within the technology, sport/entertainment areas – to cement and grow this practice as the firm continues on its impressive growth path.

There is an excellent marketing/BD team who can support you and a small team in place already.

You will
  • Be a senior lawyer, whether in-house or in private practice (either an established partner or keen to take partnership);
  • Have excellent commercial contracts experience, with strong drafting skills and adept at analysing a range of commercial contracts;
  • Have an ability to build relationships both externally with clients and internally with team members;
  • Likely have good experience within the technology sector, ideally with the ability to advise on a range of common tech agreements and with some knowledge of GDPR;
  • Be able to pick up existing client relationships and lead them.

Whilst a following is welcome, it is not essential, but you will be expected to demonstrate how you have developed relationships and would use your business development skills to further grow the practice and raise the profile of the team.
